She attended South Central Community College and went to work as an assistant in a patent, trademark, and copyright law firm in New Haven and, after a few years, became an office manager for a mental health clinic. Her husband’s career took them to Arkansas for 7 years, where she became a member of The Loose Threads Quilt Club, where she volunteered her services for battered women and made quilts for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Upon returning to CT, she joined the Shoreline Quilters Guild and made many quilts for the Smilow Cancer Center. She taught her youngest grandchild how to quilt and entered her quilts into quilt shows. She loved to read, knit, and crochet as well but her favorite passion was spending time with her family.
