Frances Vaccino Basilio, 92, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Mary Wade Home, New Haven. She was the wife of the late Gennaro L. Basilio, Jr. Frances was born in New Haven on August 22, 1923; daughter of the late Clemente and Josephine Pelella Vaccino; had worked for Newton New Haven Dye Casting; was a member of the North Haven and Allingtown Senior Centers; enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cooking, but most of all her family whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Gennaro (AnnMarie) Basilio. Grandmother of Jeremy (Majeda) Basilio and Krista (Stephen) Bergin. Great-Grandmother of William and Lily Bergin, and Zack Basilio who is expected in August. Predeceased by her siblings Rose Calabrese, Angelo, John, Gennaro and Joseph Vaccino.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Tuesday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
