Leonard J. Vetro, 72, of Northford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale- New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Susanne Vetro. Leonard was born in Bridgeport on October 7, 1942; son of the late Angelo and Gina Marino Vetro, Jr.; had worked as a Master Carpenter for Banton Construction, North haven for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a loving husband, father and grandfather who always enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Father of Valerie Vetro, John (Lisa)Vetro of Flora City, FL. and Stephanie Vetro. Grandfather of Dale Hettrich, Jr., Justin, Timothy and Hope Hettrich and the late Brittany Hettrich. Predeceased by his best friend and loyal companion Faith. Funeral Services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
