Theresa C. Sansone Rubano, 94, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Friday June 3, 2016 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Rubano. Theresa was born in New Haven on February 3, 1922; daughter of the late Vincenzo and Theresa Amendola Sansone. She worked as Union Steward for Gants for many years until her retirement. Sister of the late James, Benjamin and Angelina Sansone, Anna Vuolo, Antoinette Vecchio, Rita Acri, Mary Garibaldi and Raffaela Giannotti. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews and her lifelong friend, Mary DeMarzo. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of Maplewood at Orange for the great care that was given to Theresa.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 11:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 12:00 PM. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
