Olive Giannini, 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Stuart, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care Center, Stuart. Born in High Wycombe, Bucks, England, daughter of Herbert and Fanny Walker, she had been a resident of Stuart for over 5 years after living in North Haven, CT for 64 years. Prior to retiring she was a cafeteria worker at the Ridge Road Elementary School in North Haven for 31 years and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, North Haven. Olive enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her famiily and jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her daughter Pauline Sande of Stuart; her son Louis Giannini and his wife Nancee of Manchester, CT; her sister, Iris Henry and her husband Bryan of England; four grandchildren, Jennifer Cosola, Eric Sande, Amy Rutar and Maureen Cicchetti; eight great grandchildren, Kevin, Nicholas, Kyle, Kaylee, Natalie, Katelyn, Nathan and Kyle and several nieces and nephews including nieces and longtime pen pals, Karen Ewers and Susan Clark from England.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Torodo Giannini; her sisters, Marjorie Cummings and Joyce Cheney and son-in-law, Robert Sande.

 

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 10:30. Relatives and friends may call Monday morning from 9 to 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
