Paul J. O’Neil, 81, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and many friends. Paul was born in New Haven on July 20, 1933; son of the late Daniel and Gertrude Sullivan O’Neil. He retired as a District Manager for Very Fine Apple Products.  Father of Kathleen Radziunas, Cindy O’Neil, Richard (Judy) O’Neil and Therese Oneto.  Brother of Jean Tower and the late Virginia Richter.  Paul was the proud grandfather of Joe O’Neil, Sarah and Michelle Radziunas, John Michael and Nick Oneto.  He attended almost every school even, and sporting event that they participated in; he was their #1 supporter.  Also survived by the love of his life Dorothy O’Neil. Paul was past president of the Knights of Grip and an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. To this day, he enjoyed watching sports with his best buddy, Ken.  Paul was loved and respected by all the residents and staff at his home, Benchmark Senior Living, Hamden.  To name everyone’s life he touched would be impossible.  Dee, his companion and confidant cared for him, and he for her until his last breath. 

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 10:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.  Should friend’s desire, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Disease Foundation, P.O.
