Francis “Clark” McCafferty, 82, of North Haven and Naples, FL, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Ann Flanagan McCafferty. Clark was born in Troy, New York on July 7, 1933; son of the late Charles F. and Helen Clark McCafferty and served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Korean War. Clark obtained his Bachelor’s degree from New York State Teachers College, his Master’s degree from Canisus College in Buffalo, NY and had worked for Lederle Laboratories for many years until retiring as an Oncology Representative. He was an avid tennis player, enjoyed fishing, watching UCONN Women’s basketball and being at his home in Florida. Father of Anne Hernandez (Joe), Lisa Blackert and the late Maureen McCafferty-Mattia. Grandfather of Nathaniel Alexander, Emilee Bischof (James), Daniel and Ryan Blackert, Brendan and Max Mattia. Great-Grandfather of Sullivan Bischof. Predeceased by his brothers John and William McCafferty, and a sister Rita Kennedy.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. There will be no visiting hours.
