Rose “Jeanette” Messina. 97, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus. Jeanette was born in New Haven on May 25, 1918; daughter of the late Antonio and Michelina Gambardella Messina; had worked as a secretary for the former Brown & Thomas Cadillac – Oldsmobile dealership of New Haven and later for Kemper Insurance. She was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church where she served on its Altar Guild. Jeanette is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Dominic, Andrew, James, Alfred, Albert and Christine Messina, Catherine Cassella, Lillian Cocchairo and Jenny Garbero.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
