Joseph “Porky” Mastriano, 83, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the St. Raphael campus/Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Ferraiuolo Mastriano for 62 years. Porky was born in New Haven on August 10, 1932; son of the late Louis and Mary DeMatteo Mastriano and had worked for the Guilford Board of Education for many years until his retirement. Porky was a member of the former Lincoln Club, was also a car enthusiast having gone to many car shows. Loving father of Joseph Mastriano, Jr. Beloved brother of Anthony “Sparky” Mastriano (Nancy), Louis “Junior” Mastriano (Connie), Frank Mastriano (Janice) and Robert Mastriano. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Theresa Mastriano.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning, May 11th at 10:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent De Paul Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 10th from 4 to 8 PM.
