Love you Vinnie like a brother ….. All I can say is how sorry I am !
Vinny words cannot express how deeply I feel for your loss. You will always have the wonderful memories you both shared together. Know that she is at peace and with the Lord that you both love so much.
Liz, Your mom was one of the greatest nurses that the VA ever had and it was a privilege to know her and work for her. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Marge was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most caring Nurse Managers that I have met throughout my entire career. I was a Ward Clerk at the VA Medical Center, on Marge's unit. She would always come in early, and she always left late. Marge was a "hands on" Manager. She made her rounds on the unit just as frequently as every RN, LPN, and CNA that was under her Supervision. She was very personable with her patients, and provided excellence in patient care. She must have taken care of thousands of Veterans. I wish to offer heartfelt sympathy and my sincere condolences to her daughter Elizabeth, husband Vincent, and the Castellon Family during their time of bereavement. Marge will be sorely missed. It is with great sorrow I learned of Marge's passing. She was a very special person, friend, former co-worker and fellow book lover. Often she came in to work with a bag of books to share with me: so appreciated! And how great the gift she gave me, staying at work one New Year's Eve an extra half hour so my husband and I could, for once, see the new year in together before I rushed off to work. My deepest condolences to her family and friends…I am so very sorry for your loss! Feeling blessed to have known her…peace, love and friendship always!
Liz, Tony and the whole family. I was saddened to hear of your loss. May it comfort you that ever since hearing Marge was ill at St. Frances Cabrini she has been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. I have worked long enough at the VA to remember the kind of nurse she was–a truly great one. She definitely got things done! And her depth of caring was unmatched. May memories of love and good times sustain you all at this difficult time. God Bless.
RIP Marge. Marge was my boss when I first came to the VA 19 years ago.
She will be greatly missed.
