George (Biff) E. Blomgren, 74, of North Haven passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Employed as a Long Distance Truck Driver with Gulf Oil for 23 years, devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame, New England Patriots and UCONN Basketball. He was a member of NRA and active with the North Haven Rotary Shooting Association prior to retirement. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Valerie Wiatrak Blomgren; son John E. and wife Debbi Budnick Blomgren; daughter Sharon J. and husband Michael DeGirolamo. Predeceased by a son George E. Blomgren, Jr. He is also survived by three grandchildren L.J. and wife Gina Midola Blomgren, Mikey DeGirolamo and Ali DeGirolamo. Also survived by a sister Kathleen, and husband Nick Sorvillo. Predeceased by a sister Marie Miller. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 10:30. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

losing someone we love is never easy, but knowing we were part of Biff's life is a true blessing.
