Jeanne E. Grillo, 67, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at Masonicare, Wallingford. Jeanne was born in New Haven on April 20, 1948; daughter of the late Thomas E. and Winifred J. Warren Grillo. She graduated from Stone Business Academy and was on the 1969 Dean’s List; worked for Prudential Insurance for 20 years and also worked in the bereavement department at Masonicare. She was an avid NY Yankees Fan and loved animals greatly. Sister of Thomas (Anne) Grillo, Paul (Lorraine) Grillo, Mark (Karen) Grillo, Therese (Roger) Bastian, Peter (Jennifer) Grillo, Mary Servetnick, the late Eugene Grillo and Julia Slater. Predeceased by a brother-in-law Mark Servetnick, her nephew and godchild Zachary Grillo. Aunt of Lisa Krohn, Thomas and John Grillo, Suzanne Reiss, Michael Grillo, Maria Lawlor, Lauren Cadle, Gregory Grillo, Emily Jackson, Michael Kelly, Jr., Benjamin Grillo, Daniel Kelly, Rosanna and Juliana Servetnick, Sienna Grillo, many great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved immensely. Jeanne also leaves treasured lifelong friends, Mary Beth Stram and Cindy Mattei. Jeanne’s life was also blessed with the ongoing friendship of her high school friends and the many wonderful friends she made through Masonicare. Jeanne had unconditional love for her family and her many friends whom she considered extended family.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford for a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonicare Home Health and Hospice, 33 N Plains Industrial Rd.
