William Francis Kennealy II, 71, of Bella Vista, New Haven, formerly of North Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dolores Theresa Soli Kennealy. Mr. Kennealy was born in New Haven on December 21, 1941, son of the late William Francis Kennealy and Mary Caciopoli Kennealy and had worked for Yellow Freight until his retirement. Mr. Kennealy was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Black Hawks; loved horses and horse racing. Beloved father of William Francis Kennealy III and his wife Kerri of North Haven, John Anthony Kennealy of Cheshire, Maria Kennealy Jette and her husband Matthew of East Haven and the late Joseph John Kennealy. Beloved grandfather of Amber Marie Kennealy, Joseph Vincent Kennealy, Damien Matthew Jette, Jade Casmir Jette, Kyla Shae Kennealy, Autumn Lynn Kennealy, Dimitri Joseph Jette, Julian James Jette and Colton Joseph Kennealy. Predeceased by a brother James Bruce Kennealy.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.

Dad you were always there for us, the holidays, birthdays an just plain old Sundays or weekdays cooking, making us laugh an loving us all up! Our family has so many wonderful memories of you but somehow it is just never enough! You want more time with the ones you love the most. You were such a big part of my children’s lives an they saw the best of you! We are thankful for all the special memories an will cherish them in our hearts forever. You an me we are cut from the same cloth an I wouldn’t want it any other way..I love you Poppy an although our hearts are breaking we find comfort that you are reunited with Mom an Joe and the rest of our loved ones.
