Lucille G. Ardolino Lanouette, 80, of William Street, West Haven, passed away Sunday , June 16, 2013 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. Lucille was born in New Haven on February 22, 1933; daughter of the late Anthony and Nicole Iannone Ardolino; was the Welfare Director for the City of West Haven and later was a clerk for the West Haven Superior Court. Lee loved butterflies and cooking (which she did excellently); was a New York Yankees fan; enjoyed playing poker with her friends in the “Poker Clubâ€; but most of all enjoyed the love and happiness her grandchildren unconditionally gave her. Mother of Michael (Angel) Lanouette of Hamden and the late Edward Lanouette. Grandmother of Alexa Ahrem, Ariana Lanouette, Michael Lanouette II and Anthony Butler. Sister of Eleanor Gentile of West Haven, Mary Barone of Madison, the late Harry and Sam Ardolino, Caroline Proto and Margaret Gambardella.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Whitney Avenue, Hamden, at 11:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. My deepest Sympathy to the family. I will never forget Lee. Back in 1977 she gave me my job in the Welfare Department as Secretary. We had a lot of fun together. Lee, Edna Zwack and myself. She will stay in my heart forever.
