Helene M. Lesieur, former North Haven resident, retired from North Haven School System, widow of Frank A. Lesieur with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Brother Richard Hagearty, resides in Manchester, CT. and a deceased brother Francis Hagearty. Sons are Frank A. Lesieur, III of Arlington, VA. and Brian D. Lesieur of Evans, GA. Daughter is Mary-Patrice Ruocco, Rochester, MA., and deceased daughter Margaret Mary Lesieur. Beloved Grandchildren are Margaret Helen, Nicole Marie, Gabriele Joan and Brian Roger. Helene attended Central Connecticut State College. Her passions included volunteering with AmeriCares, supporting her beloved parish of St. Barnabus (served as CCD director for an 8 year period) and gardening. An avid reader, her volunteering included teaching adult reading and instructing English as a second language. Traveled worldwide visiting their children who all served on active duty with the U.S. Army.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
