Anthony DeMartino, Jr, 78, of North Haven, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Gaylord Hospital. He was the husband of Laura King DeMartino. Anthony was born in New Haven on March 26, 1935; son of the late Anthony and Sophie Ibelshauser DeMartino; was a member of the Teamsters Local #443; was a Truck Driver for Triangle Pacific for sixteen years and later worked for Southern CT State University for twenty years until his retirement in 1998. Father of Raymond (Laurianne) DeMartino of Meriden. Grandfather of Rhiannon DeMartino. Brother of Sylvia Vergato and Albert (Tiny) DeMartino and the late Mary Acabbo, Eunice (Tina) DeMartino, Katherine Torre, John, Leonard and Michael DeMartino.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 8:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 9:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm.
