Frank R. Costa, 98, of Wallingford, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the VAMC, West Haven. He was the husband of 62 years to the late Biondina Sica Costa. Frank was born in Bronx, New York on March 22, 1915; son of the late Napoleone and Paulina Marino Costa; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WW II; worked at Pratt & Whitney for 25 years until his retirement; was a lifetime member of all of the following: Marian Council Knights of Columbus where he held the office of Advocate for 25 years; John Barry Assembly 4th degree K of C; V.F.W; D.A.V. Chapter 31 where he held the office of Senior Vice Commander; was a St. Frances Cabrini Church Bingo volunteer for 20 years. Father of Frank J. Costa and his fiancé Lisa Kryzwick. Grandfather of Danielle. Great-Grandfather of Taylor and Aubrey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Hugo and Dom, a sister Rita and a grandson Matthew.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 10:15. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15. A mass of Christian burial will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Yalesville at 11:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
