Frank Downs Ludecke, 56, of Durham, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Min Flagge Ludecke. Frank was born in Southington on January 27, 1957; son of the late Kenneth G. and Isabel R. Tappert Ludecke; had worked for Gary’s Auto Parts in Waterbury then as the manager for over 20 years at Foreign American of Meriden. Frank was an avid gardener and a motorcycle and car enthusiast. Loving father of Rebecca and Noah Ludecke. Brother of Mark (Linda) Ludecke, Karen (Frank) Mursko, Kenneth Ludecke. Uncle of Erin (Christopher) Seger, Christopher Ludecke, Andrew (Thais) Mursko and Matthew (Amy) Mursko. Son-in-law of Ethel Flagge. Brother-in-law of George (Kimberly) Flagge, Eileen (Giovanni) Carrieri, Glynis (Jim) Copperthaite, Brian (Maria) Henninger, Philip Flagge, Martha Flagge and the late Daniel Flagge. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Frank loved summer and as a dress code colors are quite welcomed and appreciated.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to the United Churches of Durham, 228 Main Street on Wednesday morning August 21st at 11:00 to attend a funeral service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Tuesday August 20th from 4 to 8 pm.
