Louis F. “Louie Lanes†Testa, Jr., 72, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the husband of 41 years to Lesley Beebe Testa. Louie was born in New Haven on April 2, 1941; son of the late Luigi and Julia DeLuca Testa; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era; had worked for the New Haven Housing Authority from 1974-1983 and later was the owner and operator of Merritt Builders of Woodbridge. Louie was an excellent bowler having won numerous trophies and was a member of the Pan Am Bowling League. Father of Louis L. Testa III and Paul A. (Stephanie) Testa. Grandfather of Samantha, Kalel and Logan. Brother of Constance “Babe†(Anthony) DeCaprio and Salvatore L. (Joyce) Testa.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Center Road, Woodbridge at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in Eastside Cemetery, Pease Rd., Woodbridge. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.

Leslie, we are so so very sorry for your loss, no one needs to tell you what a wonderful man your Louis was. We had great conversations and wonderful times toghter . always in our hearts, and never forgotton.
