Charles A. Dauria, 93, of North Haven, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Trofomena Cimino Dauria for the past 69 years. Mr. Dauria was born in New Haven on October 18, 1919; son of the late Antonio and Maria Donnarummo Dauria; he served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy in Pearl Harbor during WW II; had worked for the former Winchester’s Repeating Arms, the Olin Corp, United Nuclear and later for Olin Ski. Mr. Dauria was a member of the Northeast Volunteer Fire Dept.; the Knights of Columbus; served as a Eucharistic minister for six yare; was a very handi-man when it came to fixing different things and enjoyed and loved his family. Father of Anthony (Julie) Dauria and Maryann (Wayne) Mele. Grandfather of Chad Christopher (Raina) Dauria and Tori Anne Dauria. Great-Grandfather of Matthew Charles Dauria, Christopher James Dauria and Alexander James Stamboulidis. Brother of Carmen Dauria and the late Frank & Anthony Dauria, Rose Gaudio and Helen Proto
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Frances Cabrini Church, Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Thursday morning at 9:30 to attend a mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services with full military honors in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
