Vincent Thomas Murphy, 86, of Madison passed away peacefully on Sunday November 22, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown surrounded by his loving family with his wife holding his hand. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to his high school sweetheart Mary Mautte Murphy. Vincent was born in New Haven on December 17, 1928; son of the late John J. and Mae Brennan Murphy. He had worked as a tool & die maker for the Olin Corporation for 45 years until his retirement. Vincent was honored by the American Red Cross as a high blood donor, having donated 100 gallons of blood. He was a NY Giants fan, avid reader, loved to do gardening & wood making; but most of all he enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Rosemary Bialobrzeski (Stanley), Eileen Emond, Kathryn McDonnell (Kenneth) and his deceased infant son Vincent Thomas Murphy, Jr. Grandfather of Stella Geisler (Kurt), Kerry Hartley (Andrew), Sara Russell (Keith), Michael & Stephen Emond, Evan & Carly McDonnell. Also survived by eight great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Marie Dietrich and brothers John, Charles, Joseph and Edward Murphy.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Resurrection, Wallingford at 10:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. The visiting hours will be on Tuesday (TODAY from 5 to 8 pm).
