Anna DeVergilio Onofrio, 92, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Sunday October 2, 2016 at the Hamden Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Onofrio. Anna was born in New Haven on January 3, 1924; daughter of the late Phillip and Margaret Poole DeVergilio and had worked for SNET for many years. Mother of the late Joseph B. and John F. Onofrio. Grandmother of Joseph and Michael Onofrio. Sister of Marguerite Bernardo, Lorraine O’Hare and the late Teresa Simeone.
Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
