He will be truly missed by his colleagues and students. Our prayers are with him and his family at this very difficult time. Don and Lori Peronace
My friend Joe was our compatriot at UConn's summer conference/institute (Confratute). Lucky for us, he always had a new idea for the conference variety show. Whether it was a new song for the Shippee Doo Wahs, a skit, or a new cartoon for the newsletter, Joe was always thinking and behaving creatively. In surprise visits to my storytelling & mime class Joe would hand me his new poems about science to use with my students or sing one of his science themed songs. I will miss Joe but I will honestly never forget his creative spirit: his performances, songs, artwork, poetry, and the ways he taught me to have fun with my work at Confratute. He always created added value. Please accept my condolences for your loss and know that we miss him also. I wish I could join you for the service tomorrow but I am working out of state.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Joe had a beautiful heart and loved sharing what he loved with all. He was a joy to work with and will be missed very much. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss. Mr. Cip was an amazing teacher to my son!! He will definitely be missed.
He was my science teacher. Amazing man, he was very nice and knew how to teach as well as have fun. He will be dearly missed❤️
Joe was a creative force academically, musically, and scientifically at Confratute for many years. I always looked forward to seeing him. I also brought my high school students to his school for several science symposiums. Sending love to your family and students.
My sincere and deepest condolences to all of Joe's family. I worked with Joe many years ago when we were both at JFK Middle School. He was a very kind, funny, smart man…one of the good guys. He was a talented teacher and my grown children knew him and were his students. We will never forget him! Joe used to call me "Rosie" and he knew how to make you smile even if you were sad. Heaven is so lucky to have him now and forever!
My condolences to friends and family. Mr. Cip was one of my favorite teachers! I remember him being one of the few that made learning fun and motivated us to stay in school! He has helped so many and will be deeply missed.
I am very sorry for your loss. May your family find comfort in God's promise of paradise where there will be no more pain, sickness, or sorrow due to the loss of your loved one, and the hope of being reunited in paradise in perfect health. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Joe was a wonderful man. He exuded intelligence and a quiet charm. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and colleagues, and most especially his beloved daughter,Sarah. He will live in the hearts of those who knew him.
I remember Mr Cip when he was my newspaper advisor as well as my gifted & talented teacher at DePaolo. He was always my favorite. I'd see him at the Y when I'd pick up my kids from after care. This year my son had him as a science teacher. He will sorely be missed by my entire family. Our hearts go out to you all.
Condolences to all his family and friends. What a painful loss for all who knew him. He was a fantastic teacher. He will be missed terribly
Our condolences from the heart to the family. My old friend of sixty years, we were together every day. God Bless will always have the memories.
Saddened to hear of Joe's passing. Joe was a close college friend and post college roommate of my late husband, Russ Brochinsky. Joe was also in our wedding party and was a "guest singer" with our band during the reception. Lots of good memories. RIP Joe.
