Anastacio Feliciano-Rodriguez, 67, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the West Haven V.A. surrounded by his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Virginia Feliciano. Anastacio was born in Guayanilla, P.R. on January 10, 1948; son of the late Anastacio Feliciano and Eloiza Rodriguez. He went to a Vocational High School and later served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Anastacio worked as a Welder for Leonard Concrete Pipe for 25 years, then as a Postmaster for the New Haven Postal Service. As a past-time he loved baseball and boxing. Father of David Feliciano, Oscar Feliciano (Angela Costa) and Christian Feliciano (Shontisha McGraw). Grandfather of Victoria Kan-Long, Isaiah, Jizir and Amari Feliciano. Brother of Maria and Abrahan Velez, Nancy, Rigoberto and Guadalberto Feliciano and the late Irma “Palin” Velez, Nilsa and Heriberto Feliciano. Anastasio was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the VA Hospital in West Haven as well as to their family and friends who supported them throughout this difficult time.
Funeral Services with military honors will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday evening at 8 PM. Interment will be in Cemeterio Nuevo, Penuela, PR. The visiting hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm.
