Lucile Rayzor Hutchinson died on November 25, 2015, in New Haven. She was a resident of North Haven for 50 years. She is the widow of Allen C. Hutchinson, whom she married in 1944. She was born in Denton, Texas on December 3, 1922 to the late J. Fred and Lucile Edmonds Rayzor and was predeceased by three brothers. Lucile was a graduate of Texas Women’s University. During WWII, when her husband was overseas, she served in the American Red Cross Nurse’s Aide Program. She was later an educational representative for Scholastic Publishers for 16 years. Before and during her retirement Lucile was actively involved with the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, the former Sage Senior Services of New Haven, the Agency on Aging South Central, the Connecticut Interfaith Network on Aging and the New Samaritan and Elderly Housing Management Corporation. She was a member of the United Church on the Green, New Haven. She is survived by her children, Richard (Barbara), James, and Anne Gahl (John); four grandchildren, Blake Hutchinson (Melanie), Cherylyn Lockery (Chris), Ted Gahl (Thea) and Laura Raywood (Dan); three great-granddaughters, Maisie and Samantha Hutchinson and Angelina Lockery, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at the United Church on the Green, New Haven, on Saturday, December 19 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Church on the Green, 323 Temple St, New Haven, CT 06511 or a charity of your choice.
