Teresa Travaglino Stellavato, 87, of North Haven passed peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Yale-New Haven – St. Raphael campus with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Stellavato. Teresa was born in Hamden on March 21, 1928; daughter of the late Antonio and Almarinda Travaglino; had worked as a bookkeeper for many companies in the New Haven area and had worked in the mail order department for Ann Taylor’s. She was a member of the North Haven Senior Center. Mother of Patricia (Thomas) Jermine, Donna (Edward) Baker and Robert (Deborah) Stellavato. Grandmother of Jodi (Eric) Zielinski, Jennifer Baker, Suzanne (Stephen) O’Connor, Krista (Gilles Stroobant) Stellavato, Kimberly (Joseph Krupa) Stellavato, Thomas (Emily) Jermine, Jeffrey (Jacque Burns) Jermine and Stephen Jermine. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Jenny Tricarico, Helen Libertino and brothers Angelo and Joseph Travaglino.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
