Michael “Mickey” Torello, 82, of 555 Pool Road, North Haven, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Regency House, Wallingford. He was the husband of Eleanor Clement Torello for 52 years. Born in New Haven on July 28, 1933; son of the late Albert and Rae Petrillo Torello. Mickey served his country faithfully for two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; had worked for Metro-North for many years until his retirement in 1998; was a member of the International Brotherhood of Railroad Workers; member of the Hamden Elks Lodge #2224 and the American Legion Post #88. Father of Susan A. Kelley-Conn (Leslie) of Florida, Janet R. Milo (Ernest) of North Haven, Ellen M. Alberti of Wallingford and Paul M. Torello of CA. Grandfather of Amy Anderson (Beau), Colin (Laura) Kelley and Katie Alberti. Brother of Mary Ingriselli of Southington. Great Grandfather of Mallory & Owen. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Regency House staff for their wonderful and kind care that was shown to Mr. Torello and his family.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Saturday morning at 10. Family and friends may call from 8:30 until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Haven, 89 Mill Rd, North Haven, CT 06473.
