Kenneth W. Armstrong, 98, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of sixty years to the late Marion Edwards Armstrong. Born in New Haven on May 31, 1916; son of the late Frank J. and Alice Weiss Armstrong. Kenneth had been a resident of North Haven for the past 66 years, served his country faithfully in the US Army during WW II, had worked for the former New Haven Railroad retiring as a Supervisor and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Railroad Workers. Loving and devoted father of Alice B. and William Armstrong both of North Haven, and Nancy E. Armstrong of Hampton, CT. He was a great dad and will be greatly missed by his children.
Private Funeral Services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
