James J. Walsh, 52, of East Haven passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Born in New Haven on April 24, 1959; a son of the late Thomas F. and Anna Downing Walsh. James was a member of Systems by Walsh; member of the Knights of St. Patrick and an avid bicyclist. Brother of Thomas F. Walsh, Jr. and Deborah (Stephen) Kantor. Uncle of Sarah and Maggie Kantor.
A memorial gathering to celebrate James’ life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Knights of St. Patrick, 1533 State Street, New Haven. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06450. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with his arrangements.
