Betsy Lane Tedeschi, 92, of Wallingford, formerly of Ezra Street, North Haven passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford.  She was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late William A. Tedeschi.  Born in Vandemere, North Carolina on August 15, 1921; daughter of the late George A. and Vera Inez Dupree Lane.  Mrs. Tedeschi worked as a Hearing Impaired Aide for the North Haven School System and later as the secretary at St. John’s Episcopal Church, North Haven.  A very active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, she served on the altar guild and was member of its vestry.  Mrs. Tedeschi enjoyed playing bridge having been a member of many different bridge clubs; was the “best” cook and an excellent baker being known for her infamous pecan pie. Mother of Kenneth Tedeschi and his wife Barbara, Terri Tedeschi and her husband Paul Bacon.  Grandmother of Thomas, Samantha and Ian Guertin, John and David Tedeschi. Predeceased by her siblings, Marguerite Bass, Inez Lane and Dr. Annie Lee Jones.

Family and Friends are invited to go directly to St. John’s Episcopal Church on Friday morning at 10:00 to attend a funeral service.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plymouth, MA. There will be no visiting hours.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3 Trumbull Place, North Haven, CT  06473. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven have been entrusted with the arrangements.
