Andrew A. Migliaro, 86, of North Haven passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Husband of Annette Scaranuzzo Migliaro. Born in New Haven on May 11, 1925; a son of the late Andrew and Rose Sirica Migliaro. A member of Teamsters Local #443, Andrew was a truck driver for the former Guyotte Oil Company for many years and later for Island Transportation until his retirement. Father of Andrew Migliaro and his wife Diane of North Haven. Brother of Anthony Migliaro of Harvard, MA & Naples, FL, Mary Grieco of Hamden, Rose Cassella and Grace Mitchell both of North Haven, Jennie Magel of Milford, Catherine Colaninno of Waterbury and the late Madeline Christoforo, Christie and Antionette Migliaro. Brother-in-law of Julian Mitchell, Joan Migliaro and Albert Colaninno.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518 or the Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511.
Andy was a very sweet, loving man, which you all know, I had a wonderful time
this last year watching over him, we enjoyed our “pepsi” soda together each day
I will think of him often, especially when I watch the yankees, He will be missed
and my work place will never be the same, thanks andy for making my days a bit
