Michael Charles Barboza, 38, of Middletown Avenue, New Haven, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Yale-New Haven Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that morning. He was the husband of Cathy Murdock Barboza. Born in Meriden on January 15, 1973; son of Frank J. Barboza of Wallingford and Gloria J. Puglisi of East Haven. Step-son of Kathy Barboza. Michael was self employed as a carpet installer. Father of Miranda Barboza of New Haven. Step-father of Justin Crespo of New Haven and the late Ariel Crespo. Grandfather of Annaleigh Crespo. Brother of Frankie Barboza, Jr. of Branford and Taylor Barboza of Wallingford. Grandson of Charles and Concetta Mendillo Puglisi of Hamden. Uncle of Lindsay Purcell of East Haven. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday afternoon at 3:00. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 until time of service at 3:00 pm. Interment with follow in Centerville Cemetery in Hamden.

To the Entire Barboza Family, I am so sorry to hear of Michael’s tragic accident that took his life way to early. My husband has been friends with him since they were 3 years old, they had so many good times together as did my children and myself over the years. He was a great person and will be missed by all.
