I am deeply saddened by the loss of Vera, who was once my next door neighbor. Growing up next door to her and her husband Andy was like having another set of grandparents right next door. Vera not only taught me how to cut & hem my own pants (after many, many times of her doing it for me) but I also remember sitting with her in the summer snapping fresh green beans into a pot.
When her family came to visit on Sunday’s, I had 3 more friends to play with (her 3 grandchildren). This family was so close and loving that the loss of Vera must be very difficult.
My deepest sympathy and prayers to the family & friends. Vera will be greatly missed, remembered fondly, and is certain to be happy & smiling with her beloved Andy right now.
What a beautiful woman she was. I have fond childhood memories of her. I came across this news while searching for a good childhood friend of mine, Stacie, her great grand daughter. I always remember the warmth she had for her family and how very much she loved each of them. I am sorry to all her family members for this loss but am greatful to God for all the years you had to know such a beautiful and loving woman.
