Theodore Walter Pawluk, 87, formerly of Coach Drive in Northford, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Masonicare, Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Helen Domek Bogart Pawluk. He was born in Putnam, CT on August 16, 1923; son of the late Teofil and Aniela Romanowska Pawluk. Theodore served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a Foreman at Pratt and Whitney for many years until his retirement. After which he was employed at ACG, Inc. in West Haven, Connecticut. He was involved with the Polish-American Political Club, and was very active with the V.F.W., he took pleasure in attending the “Yorktown” Navy Ship Reunion. Step-father of Catherine B. Grimaldi of North Haven and Dennis J. Bogart of New Haven. Brother of Jennie Miller of Southbridge, MA and the late Rose Salvas and Stephan Pawluk. Also survived by 8 Step-Grandchilden and 9 step-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Stanislaus Church, State Street, New Haven on Thursday morning at 10:00 to attend a mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum with full military honors. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave. Hamden, CT 06518. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
