Alexandra M. Lesnieski Germano, 71, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at her home in Killingworth. Alexandra was born in Waterbury on January 8, 1944; daughter of the late Alexander and Mary K. Fronczak Lesnieski and had worked as an Electron Microscopy Technician for Yale University. She loved animals (especially dogs), was a lover of nature, published a nature guide and was a Shaker Collector in the New England area. Mother of Jennifer Germano. Aunt of Marciann (Joseph) Spaziante with whom she had resided. Sister of Paul (Barbara) Lesnieski, Daniel (Ann) Lesnieski and the late Marcia Colandro. Sister-in-law of Pasquale Colandro. Aunt of Daniel (Christine) Lesnieski, Jr., Andrew Lesnieski, Paula (Edward) Ryan, Lisa Tsolis, Paul Jason Lesnieski, Nicole (Thomas) McGowan and Cristian Colandro. Also survived by many great-nieces and great – nephews. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Jody (APRN) and Pat (VNA) for all their patience, and all the comfort and care they provided to Alexandra.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
