Michael J. Parillo, 56, of Sentinel Hill Road, North Haven passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Loving and devoted companion of Tricia A. Cushing of North Haven. Born in New Haven on October 23, 1954; son of the late Ralph J. Parillo, Sr. and Grace Marie Marrandino Parillo. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the former Quinnipiac College; a Master’s degree from the University of Hartford; had worked as a Consultant for Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford and later was the Director of Consulting at EMC. Michael was an activist and speaker for the American Liver Foundation; enjoyed skiing with his family and friends especially at Killington Mountain; was an avid NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. Beloved father of Michael A. (Samantha) Parillo of Milford, Christopher P. (Danielle) Parillo of Hamden and Kimberly M. Parillo of Torrington. Loving grandpa of A.J. Parillo and Ayden Michael Lomento. Beloved brother of Ralph J. Parillo, Jr. of Shelton, David (Donna) Parillo of Wallingford, Maria Parillo and John (Karen) Parillo all of North Haven.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or the American Liver Foundation, 127 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473.

I worked with Mike at Sikorsky and EMC. I will always remember him as a man with high integrity, commitment to provide the best to his clients and colleagues and his love for family. It was a honor to work with Mike. My prayers to Mike’s family.

Mike’s passing will alter many lives forever. He was a true mentor to those that had the pleasure of working with him. His kind guidance and gentle smile pointed us in the right direction more often then his stern grin let us know we were pushing the limits.
