Franklin E. Corriveau, 92, of McArthur Road, North Haven passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his daughter’s home in East Haven surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Stella V. Wieczorek Corriveau. Born in New Haven on August 6, 1918; son of the late Alcide and Sadie Moore Corriveau. Franklin had worked as a truck driver for St. Johnsbury Trucking for many years until his retirement and was a member of the Teamster’s Local #443. Father of Franklin E. Corriveau, Jr., Jacqueline Scelzo, Dennis Corriveau all of East Haven, Bruce Corriveau of Boca Raton, FL, Gerald Corriveau of North Haven and the late Donald Corriveau. Brother of Leticia Barnes, Bernadette Gilhuly both of West Haven, Raymond Corriveau of FL and the late Joseph, Edward, Robert Corriveau, Marie Sweeney, Lillian Reynolds, Beverly Provost and Anita Arpino. Also survived ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
Uncle Bud will be missed very much. I’ll always have fond memories of summer cook-outs and him calling me “Doll.”
