William John Brockett, 62, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was born in New Haven on September 21, 1953; son of the late William L. and Constance Police Brockett; had worked at the Wallingford sorting facility of the US Postal service for 35 years until his retirement; was a member of the New Haven Alling memorial golf course and was a devoted Red Sox fan. Brother of Linda Brockett and Ronald (Ellen) Brockett. Uncle of Christopher and Taylor Brockett.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Saturday morning at 10:00 in Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made CT Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.

Deepest sympathy to a great guy who I met at the Alling Memorial golf course. Played a number of times because of my dear friend Tom Jones and cousin John Mizaek. Forever in our minds and hearts. A GREAT GUY.
