We lived at 28 Fenway Drive, right next door to George and the family. Our parents were good friends and George and I often played together as children even though I was a few years older and the difference separated us in school and little league and all that. Like his parents, he was a friendly, gentle soul, well-liked, and a gift to all who knew him. We went our separate ways after high school, but I still have fond thoughts of George and his family whenever I think of the old neighborhood.
Mary, Pam, Krischa, Stephanie, and Family:
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of George. It goes without saying that we have such fond memories of George and the family. We especially remember George and Pam sitting at table 70 while Mary was working at the 95 Gathering Place. He was always part of the 95 Family for the past twenty five years. He always had kind words to say when he walked through the doors. We hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have. We can't help but smile when we think of George. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
With our deepest sympathy,
Lou, Tina, Elise, and Louis JR
I am George's son in law. George was a man that everyone liked. To have to tell his daughter who revered her father so much that he had expired was the most dreadful thing I could have done. Pamela talked to her father on a daily basis and that cannot be replaced. Mary had a rare love with George that even an argument got resolved before bed and plans for the next day would be made.
His loss will haunt me forever. I lost my father in January and now will never have a grandfather for our children. If there is an afterlife, I am sure he is smoking a cigarette and having a conversation with John and some important people that walked this earth before he did. George was always a capitulating person.
