Marie Candido was the wife of the late Joe Candido. Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, mema entered heaven surrounded by her devoted children Louise Coppola, Bill Coppola and Julie Candido. Twice blessed with loving, caring and adoring grandchildren Michelle Coppola, Andy Schmata and family pet Buddy. God blessed her with wonderful loving family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven on Wednesday morning at 10:00 to attend a mass of Christian burial. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with her arrangements.
I have had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Candido for over forty-five years and will always remember her as a compassionate, fun loving person with a quick wit and a bright smile to greet you . She emanated an extraordinary love for her family and close friends.

Mrs. Candido was always the fun mother to be around when we were kids and adults. A tiny woman with a giant personality. I will miss her but I will be left with lots of great memories as will all the other people who had the privilege to know her. Rest in peace my friend.
Mrs. Candido was a beautiful lady, inside and out. Though I have only known her for a short time, Mrs. Candido always made you feel welcome. Such a gracious lady & how she loved her family. May you rest in peace.
