Norberto A. Belleza MD, 76, of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on Sunday April 3, 2016. He was the beloved husband to Angeles (Angie) Ocson Belleza. Norberto was born in Cebu City, Philippines on June 6 1939; son of the late Ciriaco and Crisanta Alegarbes Belleza. He graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, served his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Downtown Hospital, New York City and the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Brooklyn , New York, fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Nassau County Medical Center, East Meadow, New York, residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT, he was board certified in Diagnostic Radiology Vascular and Interventional Radiology, was an Assistant Clinical Professor Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Yale University and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Griffin Hospital, Derby CT. He was Assistant Clinical Professor Dept. of Radiology University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington CT and a Radiologist at Diagnostic Imaging of Milford. He was a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, Connecticut State Medical Society and the New Haven County Medical Society. Father of Julie, Edmund and Eugene Belleza. Brother of Anastacio Belleza MD, Carmen Delgra and the late Severino and Nazario Belleza.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday (April 15th) morning at 10:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church 75 Center Road, Woodbridge at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Mausoleum, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven. The visiting hours will be Thursday (April 14th) from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAAC, Inc. Philippine American Association of CT Scholarship Fund, 134 Meloy Road, West Haven, CT 06516 or a charity of one’s choice.
