Margaret Holt Halpin, 86, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Halpin. Margaret was born in New Haven on November 28, 1928; daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Hesketh Holt and had worked as a Bank Teller for the former New Haven Savings Bank. Margaret enjoyed cooking, traveling and was an excellent seamstress. Loving mother of Linda (James W.) Blakeslee and Cynthia (Andrew) Aldo. Grandmother of Kristin (Rob) Michanczyk, James J. Blakeslee, Tamara (J.C.) Wells, Dr. Luke (Gia) Aldo, Thomas, Amanda and Jesse Aldo. Also survived by six great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Edna Stevens.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 pm.

To the Halpin, Aldo, and Blakslee Families, my thoughts, prayers, and love are with all of you at this time.My fondness memories of Mrs. Halpin, are when I would go to one of her children's house to babysit for her lovely grandchildren while the adults would go out for dinner; Mrs. Halpin would always great me with her beautiful smile before leaving. I always thought of her as a warm, friendly, and loving person who loved her family very much. I will cherish the memories I have of her. Rest in peace Mrs. Halpin.
My prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. Peg was a wonderful women who really loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She did everything for her family. We were very fortunate to have Peg as part of our lives. We enjoyed many wonderful times together and will cherish those memories. She will be at peace now with "Grandpa Jack".
