Carl Henry Aichler, 67, of the Harbor Towers Apartments, Meriden passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. Born in Meriden on March 21, 1944; son of the late Carl and Vivian Hudson Aichler. Carl graduated from Platt High School, Meriden; served in the U.S. Air Force; attended Paier College of Art and had worked as a designer at International Silver Co. and Napier Co. both of Meriden and also Vitoria & Co. of Rhode Island. He was a member of the Meriden Lions Club. Father of Erin Aichler of New Haven. Longtime companion of Claudette Testa of Wallingford. Also survived by his former wife Donna Malley of North Haven and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 10:00. Family and friends may call from 9:00 until time of service at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Wallingford.
Carl was a wonderful man with a huge heart. He will be missed.
