Oleta V. Taylor Pantano, 85, of 656 Center Street, Wallingford, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden. She was the wife of the late Joseph Pantano. Oleta was born in Cape May, NJ on April 6, 1926; daughter of the late Earl and Lillian Greenspun Taylor She had worked for the former Woolco Dept. Store and later as a bus monitor for the former Nutile Bus Co. of North Haven. Mother of Richard (Evelyn) Pantano of Wallingford, Robert (Karen) Pantano of East Haven and Cheryl Ann (James) Warzeniak of Meriden. Grandmother of Nicholas, Erica and Michelle Pantano, Jodi and Cori Warzeniak. Great-grandmother of Nathan. Sister of Donald Taylor of FL and the late Earl Taylor, Jr. and Viola Clark.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church, North Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm. My husband and I would like to express our condolences to you and all who knew Oleta, during this time of great sorrow, that has touched the hearts of many family members and friends. We also have felt such pain. Though our hearts are broken, at such times, be assured our Grand Creator cares about you personally. (1 Peter 5:7) and can help you get through this difficult time. Revelation 21:3&4 speaks of a time, when God will do away with sickness, pain, and death forever. May you find comfort in the Bible and the memories you have shared together and cherish them.
