James Theodore Baylor, Jr., 87, of Pine River Road, North Haven, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He is survived by the love of his life for the past 25 years, Caroline Marino of North Haven. Born in Waterbury on January 18, 1924; son of the late James T. Baylor, Sr. and Lucy Bunggard Baylor. James was the General Manager of Montesi Volkswagon of West Haven for many years until his retirement; he served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II and was a member of the American Legion of East Haven and the Owenego Beach & Tennis Club. Father of Gary (Donna) Baylor of Cheshire and Robert (Lisa) Baylor of North Haven. Step-father of Michele Marino and Frank (Doreen) Marino all of East Haven. Grandfather of Christopher, Jonathan and Samantha Baylor, Stephanie and Frank Marino, Jr., Steven and Kevin Marino. Predeceased by his wife Louise Wilcox Baylor and a sister Constance Grantland.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 11:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
