Good-bye to a dear friend of many decades. We (and our children) will never forget those church camping retreats.
Psalm 22
The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing.
He hath set me in a place of pasture.
He hath brought me up on the water of refreshment: He hath converted my soul.
He hath brought me on through the paths of justice, for His own Name’s sake.
For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for Thou art with me.
Thy rod and Thy staff, they have comforted me.
Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me.
Thou hast anointed my head with oil: and my cup which inebriated me, how goodly it is!
And Thy mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
That so I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Domine, exaudi orationem meam.
Et clamor meus ad te veniat.
I am very sorry to hear about George. He always had a great attitude, was easy to talk to and will be missed more than you know. In the short time I had the honor of knowing him, he has left a mark on my soul. I was lucky to have known him as well as many others. My deepest sympathy is with you and all your family.
Yours in Christ,Clyde
Although I only recently met George and Barbara at BFCC, I immediately knew he was a man of the Church with a sincere faith. We were fellow SNET employees and I just now learned that his daughter, Babette, worshipped with me at The Oxford Congregational church. Our most sincere condolences to Barbara and his entire family in this time of sorrow. You can take strength in knowing that George is now at peace and rest with the Lord.
Our sincere sympathy to the family. Barbara your always in our thoughts and prayers. We will all miss George.
