Harry M. Cestaro, 90, of Ginny Drive, Northford, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Born in New Haven on September 5, 1921; son of the late Lorenzo and Annie MacArthur Cestaro. Harry had worked for the Schick Corp. for many years until his retirement. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his siblings John and George Cestaro, Jane DeFilippo, Mary Maggiore, Pauline Arpino and Annette Niwore Franco.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service at 10:00 am on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2011 in All Saints Cemetery with full military honors. Please omit flowers and make memorial contributions to the Animal Haven, Inc. of North Haven or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with Mr. Cestaro’s arrangements.
We were just informed today Oct. 18 about Harry’s passing. We were very fortunate to live next door to him for over thirty years and can say with out a doubt he was the best neighbor to have and that he will be deeply missed by us. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his extended family at this time.
