Mary C. Nazzaro Petrillo, 80, of Town Walk Drive, Hamden, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at the the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of 54 years to the late Alfred A. “Red†Petrillo, Sr. Born in New Haven on February 14, 1931; daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Grace Ciccarelli Nazzaro. Mary had worked as a Computor Operator for the SNET Company for 26 years until her retirement and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mother of Grace (Robert) Papa of Northford, Alfred A. (Georgianna “Piliâ€) Petrillo, Jr. and Steven M. Petrillo all of Hamden, and Ralph J. (Sharon) Petrillo of Wallingford.
Grandmother of Bobby, Christina & Jennifer Papa, Michelle Petrillo, Alfred A. Petrillo III, Joseph, Matthew, Jon and Amanda Petrillo, Jason and Joshua DeMaio. Great-grandmother of Evan, Manny, Kaleb and Anthony. Sister of Grace Gertz of Hamden and the late Benjamin Nazzaro.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 10:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm. To the entire Petrillo family: I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t see this in the paper until late, so I deeply apologize for not paying my respects to your Mom and your family! Milly was a great lady who adored her family. I always enjoyed her company and I know her loss will be a tremenous cross to bear for all of your family. I hope you find peace in knowing that she is with her Savior and your Dad!! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
