John Reilly of North Haven passed away on June 24, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Dolores Sliby Reilly.  Born in New Haven on March 29, 1932, son of the late James E. and Alice Leddy Reilly.  John was a graduate of Quinnipiac University.  He retired after a 39 year career from General Accident Insurance Company as an Underwriting Manager.  John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mount Carmel Council #3505.  He was a long time parishioner of St. Barnabas Church.  In his leisure time he enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards with his lifelong friends as well as watching all sports, especially his favorite team, the Giants.  He spent many days over the years watching his grandsons play sports.  Loving father of Lauren Bosco and her husband Micheal of North Branford, John Reilly and his wife Elizabeth of Berlin, Dennis Reilly and his wife Janine of North Branford, and Thomas Reilly of North Haven.  Grandfather of Michael, Daniel, Sean, and Matthew Reilly.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Beverly Reilly of Hamden and a niece and nephew.  He was predeceased by brothers James M. and Joseph F. Reilly.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Tuesday morning at 9:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
