Sarah E. “Libby†Howard, 41, of 140 Thompson Street, East Haven, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital, New Haven. Fiance of Michael J. Gorman of East Haven. Born in Dunn, NC on October 2, 1970; daughter of Benjamin S. Howard of Va. and the late Mary L. Wood Howard. Libby had worked in Customer Services for Amtrak. Sister of Bobby Butler of Sanford, NC, Ricky (Tammy) Dickmyer of Mauerpas, La., Jeana (Andrea) Peterkin of Fayetteville, NC and Jenni (Jack) Campbell of Angier, NC. Also survived by six nephews and three nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 11:00 with the Rev. Hugh MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 pm. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You†to all the doctors and nurses at the Smilow Cancer Hospital and would appreciate if friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O.
